Where can you get Baptismal or Dedication gowns?

In a dominant Catholic country like the Philippines, Baptism or Dedication of a child is an important event for the family. Much preparation is being done by parents for this event in welcoming the child into the Christian world. It is a joyous spiritual event where family and friend gather and celebrate together. For some, it is even more important than the first birthday celebration.

It’s also a familiar thing for parents to think where to get or look for where to check and buy the child’s clothes or gown for this special and once in a lifetime occasion. There are many designs and styles to choose from today. Some prefer to stick to the traditional look while other prefer a simple gowns which can also be worn for other special events not just Baptism or Dedication.

So here’s a list of where parents can get they child’s gowns and dresses:

Since they “got it all for you” and yes they do, they have consignors in their department store who have white dresses and infant gowns. They also have their own infant baptismal gowns line called Trajecitos de Bebe, a line of ready to wear baptismal clothes in its Infants Wear Department. You can check their malls here

Yes, you can also see Baptismal gowns in Lazada and have it delivered to your doorstep. Just make sure you order in advance just in case there are courier delays and buffer if you do not want the gown sent (replacement or time to buy a new one). You have to check the cute gowns here

4. Ines Moda Infantil

This is where we got our little boy’s Baptismal gown and it was beautiful. We love how the classic and old school the look is without it being too heavy and hot for baby. The really old ones before where too thick and hot or even itchy for baby because of the lace design on them. And the nice  thing about their gowns is that it comes as a set. You don’t to think about the booties and bonnet.

They also offer beautifully hand-smoked clothes which is the style that never gets old! I love this look and this style for it makes children look like simple, elegant, innocent children. It’s just simply lovely for us. You can also get the clothes to wear after the Baptism for your baby here. And the good part, they also customize gowns and clothes for your baby!

Check out their website here

Mother care branches also have baptismal gowns. Ready to wear gowns make it easier for moms to grab one if their cramming for everything for the event. Their BGC Taguig and Greenbelt 5 branches are one of their biggest branches.

For those who want a modern look for their baby’s baptismal or dedication clothes and if you’re baby is 3 months up already, this is a good choice of shop. All designs are elegant and classy. You can find their branches here

8. Gingersnaps

Just like Periwinkle, you can choose from their classy and comfortable clothes for babies and kids. You can visit them in these branches in the Philippines- click here

9. Enfant

You can choose form booties to cap to inner wear and others. Their clothes are pure cotton and they’re really super comfortable. You can check out their branches here

10. Chosen designers

Our top and budding designers are all qualified to make baptismal gowns. From famous gown designs to the new ones, they all can make these tinier (than their usual projects) gowns perfectly.

11. An heirloom

Another option is to use a gown that has been passed on from one generation to another. Our eldest wore a baptismal gown from more than 20 years ago. It was classy, meaningful, and lovely. It was a nice story to tell our eldest when she grows up.
