A lot of us want to know how 2018 will be for us right? We want to know as much information there is in terms of luck, fortune, and other available information about the new year.
Let me help you know a couple of things about 2018:
- Year of the Dog. In the Chinese astrology (that most people, even the non-Chinese ones, in the world sort of believe in), this is the year of the dog and it begins in February 16, 2018 but for most Filipinos the year of the Dog begins in January 1 just because. It is the year of the Earth Dog to be more exact. If you are born in the year of the Dog (1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, and 2018), your lucky numbers are 3,4,9 and your lucky colors are red, green, and purple, and your lucky flowers are rose and cymbidium orchids.
- 18-3838 ULTRA VIOLET, PANTONE® is the color of the year. It connotes originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future. The depth of this color symbolizes experimentation and non-conformity, spurring individuals to imagine their unique mark on the world, and push boundaries through creative outlets. Pantone Color Institute forecasts and dictates colors that will be a trend for the year. In the past this actually didn’t exists but in my opinion, it sets the mood and trend for the year. They lead in what will be “in” for the year. I say whoever thought about creating Pantone and making it this famous, is a genius.
- Lucky Colors. It is said that lucky colors to wear for 2018 are colors that symbolize the element Wood (green) and the element Water (blue and black). Click here for more details on what colors to wear and not to wear.

I myself am guilty of looking into the things I mentioned above but after reading it, I don’t remember or take them too seriously. When it warns about health problems or some negative situations, it keeps me alert and keeps me open on the warning signs of bad things that can happen. Of course we cannot avoid challenges and hardships, but we cannot take it away form us if we want our life’s journey to be the smoothest and problem-free as much as possible.
After knowing all the things above, your 2018 will boil down to how you do good and showed love and compassion to other people, how patient and persevering (add hardworking you are). It will depend on your faith and how you handle everything that comes your way.
No one really knows what the future holds anyway. We can make it and change it.
