Our “Aruga” Experience

We celebrated in advance our 4th wedding anniversary as a family 🙂

Aruga is a Filipino word meaning tender care or nurture. Aruga is the first venture of Rockwell Land into serviced apartment business. True to its name, you will feel the warm welcome from everyone as soon as you enter the building (located inside Rockwell Center in Makati beside in Edades Tower and Garden Villas, just beside the Power Plant Mall).

Gone are the days when staying in 5-star big hotels are the best thing to do during staycations (when this word still didn’t exist). Today, family and couples enjoy staying in serviced apartments or serviced residences as called by others. These type of staycation gives you the feel of being in a 5-star hotel but living in your own comfy condominium-like place where there’s a kitchen (where you can cook), living room, and dining room.

Aruga by Rockwell sits at the heart of busy Manila (near Bonifacio Global City- where businesses, restaurants + night life thrives, near Makati – Manila’s central business district and where lots of shopping malls reside, near Ortigas – for more shopping malls and places to visit).

The building is also filled with areas where you find artworks:)

Booking is as easy as one call away (818-0000) or online – www.arugabyrockwell.com. The amenities are complete for both local and foreign tourists – may it be a stay for business or relaxation with family and friends. The serviced apartments are up to the 8th floor only, has its own elevators, and security is great with keycard access requirement if you want to visit other floors or other areas where amenities are.

Our little girl enjoyed the room and the carpeted hallways too. It’s obvious from the snapshots below.

We felt really at home with the genuine friendly service from their staff. There’s wifi for 4 devices in their clean and Asian contemporary styled rooms but of course you can request to connect more devices by simply informing the guest services. There’s a washing machine and dryer in the rooms too. It’s literally like a home with a balcony.

Kiddie pool at night. Pool for even infants too. It’s really shallow.

Their  rooms range from a big studio and spacious one and 2-bedroom suites. Even our toddler loves the room and she was exploring the room non-stop. There’s enough walking and running space for her to enjoy. There’s enough kitchen utensils for 4 and you may request without additional cost too. Beddings are super comfy and you may also request additional blankets and pillows still without additional cost. There’s also an easy access to the mall via an underground passageway shall you need anything from the grocery or mall. Just always bring your keycard anywhere for access to doors. We always rush back to the room for relaxation 🙂

There are also function rooms and business centers. There’s a spa and massage place too. We also visited the gym quickly since I couldn’t use these lovely machines for now.

And of course, swim time with Dada! 🙂

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get good shots of the lobby and the Cafe but here are some from our breakfast buffet.

We’re definitely coming back here and we highly recommend to everyone – foreign friends and those in search for a relaxing staycation.

It was a good family bonding too as we celebrate in advance our 4th wedding anniversary + 10 years of being together as a couple = 14 years of good memories + 2 lovely children (at this point the other one is taking his sweet time in his mom’s tummy 😉 ).

“Two souls with a single thought. Two hearts that beat as one.”
