I’ve been updating our picture frames in the home and here’s the latest addition before I start a new one for our little boy 🙂 I’ve been addicted to taking pictures the past year, not of myself but taking pictures of everything I do to capture significant moments in my life. It’s not the pictures I’m addicted to, it’s the memories I want to capture and remember forever.

Pictures tell us so many stories and memories. I really enjoy documenting and keeping physical photos of my family. This is one way to not just store those digital photos in your computers or mobile phones.
We can actually make monthly milestones of our kids and family even with plain frames. You just have to lay them out yourself. Aside from the above frame, I kept a monthly picture and milestones of our little girl from 1 month to a year and I’m sure she’ll enjoy reading this when she’s bigger. I’ll try not to make it a reference for my boy since parents should know that babies are all different.
As I read it, I am touched how she learned all these things on her own slowly with our guidance. Little joys and meaningful miracles really do happen everyday to everyone.
Here it is:
There are other things you can document aside from monthly infant milestones like:
- Yearly pictures of your kid/s and family during holidays
- Picture for every school level he/ she attends and finishes
- Laughing moments
- Memorable vacation pictures
- Actvities and extra curricular activities attended – like ballet lessons, swimming lessons, soccer lessons, etc.
- Funny memorable and candid moments
- Family tree
- Family photo collage or mosaic
There’s just so many more. Just be creative and capture moments regularly. Some moments may mean nothing now but they really do mean a lot especially when you reminisce in time.
Document as much as you can. There’s nothing else to keep forever but memories and photos of your loved ones and yourself.
Here are few other samples I saw around the web that could ignite your imagination:

You can do these collages with pictures of your friends too not just for the family.
Enjoy capturing those moments and enjoy preserving them too. These are one of the greatest treasures you can pass on to your kids, family, and friends.
