Yes, I had a date with PABLO 😉 – Spanish version of my husband’s name Paolo (which is the Italian version of Paul). We had to go on a quick date after our doctor’s check up as we celebrate a healthy full term of our baby boy. Another simple but meaningful milestone in the family.
We ate in PABLO BISTRO. It’s a restaurant in Picasso boutique serviced hotel in the heart of the concrete jungle of Makati. They have available parking spaces at the back of the building or you may park along the street (just follow Makati parking rules during mornings and afternoons).
The ambiance is very welcoming and comfortable, calm and quiet. It looks dark from the outside but it actually isn’t as dark as you think it is in the inside. The place is clean and staff are friendly and efficient.
They don’t have a lengthy menu but their food can be categorized as European or international fusion. They also serve good wines. I suggest you get an appetizer first since main course took quite a while to be served.
Food was really good, but serving size could be improved for some dishes.
It’s a good date place too! They have al fresco seats (but it’s by the street so it’s not so romantic though) if you want.

- Top: our dessert, chocolat soufflé. Good for sharing. Lavalicious chocolat in the middle! Bottom: chicken wrap with fries
We’ll definitely be back and try other dishes in their menu! 🙂
