Long Weekend To Do’s

What are you going to do during the long weekend or even just for a regular weekend? Need some ideas? Here are some.

3. Visit a new place you haven’t seen. – May it be a mall, a park, a restaurant, a museum, a friend’s or relative’s home, a theme park, a Church, a vacation spot, or others. Drive, walk, and enjoy the new place/s you’ll go to. 

4. Try out a new recipe. – Get your hands dirty by learning a new dish. Challenge yourself and make the recipe a little harder than your usual comfort difficulty. The feeling of learning new things is so inspiring !

5. Catch up with family and friends. – Meet up or talk for a while. You do not need to rush conversations when you call at the time you do not need to do anything rush for the day. This is the time you can talk to each member of the family with full attention. Sometimes we do talk everyday but we do not seem to connect and understand each other since our attention is divided.

6. Organize or fix your room, home, or closet. – These things you cannot do during regular days with school or work. The feeling of organised room or home or even just a closet or desk will give that feeling or organization within you that can clear you mind and organize your thoughts.

7. Exercise. – Starting exercise routines is great for your healthy body and mind. May it be just a simple walk, run, exercise with Youtube exercise Videos, biking, or even going to the gym or attending Yoga or Zumba sessions, they will all be for the betterment of your whole self. 

8.Garden time. – You don’t have to hang around your garden for this. Just simple plant something new, get a plant to take care of – indoor or outdoor plant. This doesn’t cost much but having a new plant is like having a new pet. This can reduce your stress, improve your mood, and the plant helps improve air quality around you. 

9. Have fun with kids. – WIth your kids or your friend’s kids or your nephews and nieces. Kids keep you young at heart and keep the environment light. Enjoy the innocence and purity of youth and the enjoyment of play and fun. 

10. Book a good massage or salon day. – Self-care is underrated at times but self-care can change many things even the way you look at yourself and life. Relax for a rejuvenated you when you get back to your daily routine. 

There are many more things to do more than the list above. Don’t limit yourself on the possibilities of doing more things than those listed here. Take this time to do the things you cannot do on regular days when we are too busy to even think of ourselves and others. 

Nothing beats a good weekend when you come back to your daily grind.
